Every ethnic group may experience the effects of acne because the genetic component is always present. Each person's family tree has some effect upon his or her chances of suffering from acne. People with light complexions usually have thinner, dryer skin and are generally less likely to experience serious cases of acne. Other factors such as sun exposure, makeup and skin care products used may influence breakouts of acne as well.
